Red carpet awards dinner and gala

The awards dinner last night felt like the Oscars, as NEW Chair Michelle Gloeckler presented Diversity Hall of Fame honorees with an award for "outstanding achievement promoting diversity and inclusion in the consumer products and retail industry, and for passionate support of the Network of Executive Women and its mission."

Attendees walked the red carpet for a champagne reception, posed for pictures and came dressed to impress for NEW's 10th anniversary gala.

Dinner, sponsored by PepsiCo, took place in a dramatically-lit ballroom, with the awards ceremony itself truly representing NEW's 10-year milestone. Named after the late William J. Grize, a beloved supporter of women and diversity, the statuesque trophies (Athena, goddess of wisdom, holding the world aloft) went to 10 top industry leaders.

Named in order of presentation:

William J. Grize, late President and CEO of Ahold USA (accepted by wife Lynne)
Linda Dillman of Hewlett-Packard, honored for her work at Walmart
Jeri Dunn of Bacardi, honored for her work at Tyson Foods
Tom Greco of PepsiCo
Don Knauss of The Clorox Company, also recognized for his work at Coca-Cola (accepted by Erby Foster)
Jeff Noddle, retired CEO of SUPERVALU
Kay Palmer of J.B. Hunt
Judy Spires of Kings Super Markets, formerly with Acme Markets
James White of Jamba Juice Company, honored for his work at Safeway

*The Network also inducted two companies:
Delhaize America (accepted by Kristen Hanson)
Procter & Gamble (accepted by Beverly Grant)

What a wonderful night of cheers and celebration for NEW, its Hall of Fame awardees and everyone in attendance. See all photos.
