Succeeding in a Matrix Environment 

Matrix organizations have become the norm, particularly as companies have had to become flatter and leaner. But what makes a matrix organization succeed? Most companies focus on it from a structure perspective, but few recognize the complexities on the human side.

Carmen Nemecek
, a Consulting Director with The Ken Blanchard Companies, will provide a fast-paced overview, exploring new ways to thrive in a matrix environment and answering key questions like:

• Influencing without authority -- with fewer hierarchical reporting structures, what's the best way to advance my point of view?
• Understanding differences -- how do I become better at realizing my own needs and preferences, as well as reading the patterns of others?
• Managing conflict -- how can I embrace and harness the conflict that naturally and frequently occurs?
• How and who makes decisions -- in a landscape where decision rights aren't clear, what role can/should I play?

Carmen will then facilitate a panel discussion on this topic, diving into real-life examples with some of the region's top leaders, including:
