Rethinking “Customer First” 

Maria Renz, Amazon Executive was a featured speaker at July’s NEW Executive Leadership Forum on “Disruptive Innovation”. Maria will be bringing excerpts of her presentation “Re-thinking Customer First” to our local PNW event in October. In this thought-provoking presentation, Renz will reveal why every leader should rethink customer centricity from advertising to merchandising. She’ll share how courageously embracing disruption led her to a role at the right hand of the CEO and how it can lead to a new world of opportunity for you. 

About Maria:
For almost as long as Amazon has existed, Jeff Bezos has had a “shadow” — an up-and-coming executive who gets the much-envied chance to go with the CEO to daily meetings, talk over problems, and generally have as much access to Bezos as they can handle. This past May Maria Renz, a 15-year Amazon veteran was named "technical advisor to the CEO", making her the first woman shadow in the company's history. At Amazon, Renz has been involved in many aspects of Amazon's retail business, including Health & Grocery, Shoes & Jewelry, and deal-a-day site For the past two years, she had been serving as CEO of Quidsi, an Amazon acquisition and the parent company of
