Strategic Networking Workshop and Panel : The Essentials
How to build relationships, increase business and advance your career.
Nothing is more important to your career than building your network. Experts like the Harvard Business Review report that strategic networking skills are the essential difference between leaders and non-leaders. Networking skills are key if you want to transition from executing to leading. They are the key success factor for advancing your career, building your business and becoming a more valuable asset to your organization. In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn:
• Why networking is important
• What networking is (and isn’t)
• The 3 types of networks
• Practical tips on how to network strategically
• How to stay connected with those you meet
• How to craft your “elevator speech”
• And have lots of opportunities for practice!
Before the workshop, consider these questions:
Can you recall a networking situation that made you feel uncomfortable? What about the situation created the discomfort?
Do you consider yourself a good networker, a connector for others?
When was the last time you reviewed your network to assess its strength and value? When was the last time you used your network to help reach a personal or professional goal?
How do you introduce yourself when networking? Do you have a clear message to share with new connections?
