Academy Award-winning actress, Geena Davis is a graduate of Boston University, member of Mensa, mother of 3, founder and chair of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media.
Pioneering and amassing data over 25+ years, Geena’s Institute is the only research-based organization working with the media and entertainment industry to engage, educate, and successfully influence film and television content creators to dramatically increase the percentage of female characters — and reduce gender stereotyping — in media targeting children 11 and under.
