Four industry leaders have joined the Network of Executive Women, supporting its mission to attract, retain and advance women in the consumer products and retail industry.

Consumer products giant H.J. Heinz and Stagnito Media, publisher of Progressive Grocer, Convenience Store News and other industry publications, have joined NEW as platinum sponsors. The Dannon Company and Daymon Worldwide are gold sponsors.

"These companies will help sustain the Network's programs, participate in national conferences and regional events and have access to the Network's career development and diversity and inclusion best practices tools,” said NEW Vice President of Sales and Marketing Nancy Krawczyk.

Leadership at H.J. Heinz Company is "excited about unleashing the potential of our organization through our partnership,” said NEW Ambassador Cheryl VanValkenburgh, region sales manager for H.J. Heinz Company, speaking for the organization. "Our vision is to embed the unique experiences, perspectives and voices of our colleagues into the fabric of our organization to drive strong business results. NEW will help us further develop our colleagues through learning and networking opportunities with extraordinary industry role models, while also influencing the professional growth of our leaders.”

"Cognizant that a commitment to diversity is an ongoing process, we are a proud sponsor of NEW, whose mission and programs to develop women leaders is closely aligned with our Progressive Grocer Top Women in Grocery awards program, created to elevate and celebrate the many extraordinary women throughout the food industry,” said Jeffery D. Friedman, vice president, group publisher for Stagnito Media. "While women in the food industry have made profound strides closing the gender gap, there still remain many opportunities yet to be explored.”

At The Dannon Company, leaders have made the investment in NEW because "because it allows us to learn from and grow with our colleagues in many areas, both professionally and personally,” said NEW Ambassador Kelley Raleigh, corporate team leader. "Because we share a commitment to diversity with other members, we are able to transcend some of the boundaries of traditional transactional relationships. Furthermore, we appreciate the benefits of the trainings that are offered and the NEW Executive Leaders Forum.”

Daymon Worldwide’s membership in NEW fits perfectly with the company's commitment to helping associates achieve their personal and professional best, according to Rhonda Levene, chief business and financial officer. "With the opportunities that NEW makes available for learning, leadership development and networking, we recognized that NEW would be a valuable resource for members of the Daymon Women’s Network, as well as for others in the organization," she said. "As a result, we’re very pleased to join as a gold member.”
