The Network of Executive Women is seeking industry speakers for this year's NEW Leadership Summit, Oct. 21-22 in Los Angeles.

"The Summit has grown into one of the industry's most important events — especially for women,” noted Kathy Bayert, NEW vice president for learning and advisory services. "This year we are offering more content than ever and are seeking speaking proposals from consumer products and retail executives with something special to say.”

This year's Summit will include nine 75-minute breakout sessions on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The breakout sessions will focus on four learning tracks: Emerging Leader, Mid-Level Executive, Senior Executive and Hot Topics.

The opportunity is reserved for attendees of the NEW Leadership Summit who are currently employed with a retail or consumer products company. Professional speakers and consultants will not be considered and no compensation or expenses will be provided.

The proposal should include three key learning objectives of the session, actionable elements that participants can use in the workplace and a statement on how it relates to the intended track: Emerging Leader, Mid-Level Executive, Senior Executive or Hot Topic. Session subjects may include transformational change in work and life; career development for executives and emerging leaders; team building; gender diversity; and trends in the retail and consumer products industry.

"We are really thrilled to open up some of our speaker slots to highlight our industries best and brightest," said Jeffery Tobias Halter, Summit designer and president of YWomen. "The Summit's mission is 'advancing women and building business' and we believe that people in our own industry are one of the best sources of us meeting this goal.”

Individuals interested should submit a written proposal and video clip online by Friday, April 26, 2013.
