Top execs will offer leadership lessons at NEW Forum

Leaders from some of the consumer products and retail industry’s largest organizations will offer real-world solutions to today's workplace and marketplace challenges at the  NEW Executive Leaders Forum, July 23-25 at the Terranea Resort in Los Angeles. Nearly 300 senior executives are expected to attend the invitation-only event.

Katy Barclay, senior vice president, human resources for The Kroger Co.; John Lewis, president and CEO, North American Buy for Nielsen; Lori Raya, president of Vons at Safeway Inc.; and Kevin Walling, senior vice president and chief human resources officer for The Hershey Company, will offer their insights during the "Grace Under Fire: Simple Principles for Managing Complex Problems” panel discussion. Anne Fink, senior vice president, PepsiCo sales at PepsiCo Inc., will moderate the executive dialogue.

Guided by the Forum’s "Bold and Authentic Leadership” theme, attendees will also be motivated and empowered by four headline speakers, including Mindy Grossman, CEO of HSN Inc., who will address "How to Succeed by Being Yourself,” and from Laysha Ward, president of community relations for Target Corporation, who will encourage attendees to "Lean In, Lean On, Lean Back: Bold Leadership Through Life’s Stages.”

During a special dinner event, executives will participate in "A Conversation with Muhtar Kent,” CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, who will offer his global perspective on the power of women in leadership roles. Closing the NEW Forum, Academy Award-winning actress Geena Davis, who founded the nonprofit Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, will encourage NEW members to live "an award-winning life” and find their own, personal greatness.

Also during the Forum, nine senior executives will share their experiences and offer career guidance during concurrent leadership development circles of 25 to 30 participants each. Brad J. Davidson, president, Kellogg North America and senior vice president of Kellogg Company, will lead the "Entering the C-Suite: Taking Your Seat at the Table” session and Vicki Escarra, CEO of Opportunity International, will explore "Authentic Leadership: Being Comfortable in Your Own Skin.” 

Janel Haugarth, president of independent business and business optimization at SUPERVALU Inc., will share advice on "How to Win Amid Chaos and Change.” Suzanne Kereere, senior vice president and general manager, national client group for American Express, will address "Navigating the C-Suite: Politics is Not a Dirty Word.”

Nina Leigh Krueger, president of the Golden Products Division for Nestlé Purina PetCare Company, will offer insight on the importance of "Remaining Relevant: Critical Capabilities for Today's Leader” and Ancella Livers, senior faculty at the Center for Creative Leadership, will guide participants through a discussion of "Women Supporting Women: Forging Authentic Connections.”

Kim Rucker, executive vice president, corporate and legal affairs for Kraft Foods Group Inc., will address "Using Your Power Authentically" and Aidan Tracey, CEO of Mosaic Sales Solutions at Acosta Sales & Marketing, will offer his thoughts on "Organization Transformation: Leading Cultural Change.” Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, executive vice president and artistic director of Coty Inc.'s OPI Division, will share her own experiences "Starting from Nothing: What It Takes to Fulfill Your Destiny.”
