Altria Group has joined the Network of Executive Women as a foundation sponsor, supporting at the highest level the Network’s mission to attract, retain and advance women in the consumer products and retail industry.

As a foundation sponsor, Altria, parent company of Phillip Morris USA, U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company, John Middleton and Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, will help sustain the Network's programs, participate in national conferences and regional events and have access to the Network's career development and diversity and inclusion best practices tools.

"Our partnership with NEW will support Altria’s talent strategies to develop more female leaders, who play increasingly critical roles across all functions in today’s consumer package goods industry,” said Craig Johnson, president and CEO of Altria Group Distribution Company. Altria Group Distribution Company is an Altria subsidiary that provides sales, distribution and consumer engagement services to Altria’s tobacco companies.

Altria will use the Network’s resources as a platform to support and grow its recently formed employee resource group, Women in Sales Network. The group will be chaired by April Drummond, section sales director, Altria Group Distribution Company.

"I firmly believe in the power of the Network of Executive Women to help organizations transform their workplaces, leverage their female talent and advance women’s careers and, as a result, build business,” Drummond said. "We are fortunate to have senior leaders who believe the same, and fully support those goals.”
