As part of its commitment to build leadership from within, Tyson Foods Inc. has joined the Network of Executive Women as a gold sponsor. Tyson Foods, based in Springdale, Ark., is one of the world's largest processors and marketers of chicken, beef, pork and prepared foods.

As a gold sponsor, Tyson Foods will help sustain the Network's programs, participate in national conferences and regional events and have access to the Network's career development and diversity and inclusion best practices tools.

"Tyson’s core values state, ‘We strive to be a company of diverse people’ and our sponsorship of NEW supports our core values while demonstrating our commitment to women leaders in our company,” said NEW Ambassador Julie Kegley, Tyson’s director of investor relations. "Diversity is more than gender, race or ethnicity. The diversity of the thoughts and experiences of our 115,000 team members is essential to Tyson’s success and growth.”

The company’s Diversity & Leadership Development department has several programs to build leaders, including the Tyson Leadership College and business resource groups designed to enhance personal and organizational effectiveness. Tyson Foods also provides other leadership and career programs, including on-site classes, mentoring and computer-based training.
