NEW to offer talent strategies at NACDS Expo

Network of Executive Women leaders will offer their insights on leveraging the skills and expertise of women during a panel discussion at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Total Store Expo, which will be held Aug. 10-13, 2013 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas,

The Aug. 12 roundtable "Changing the Game: Strategies for Harnessing the Power of Female Talent,” based on the NEW Best Practices report of the same name by Trudy Bourgeois and Leslie Traub, will feature Shannon Curtin, general merchandise manager, beauty and personal care for Walgreen Co.; Vicki Gardner, senior vice president, global business services for Nielsen; NEW Sponsorship Chair Margarita Rossi, senior director, corporate communications for Johnson & Johnson; and Cia Tucci, senior director, store brands at CVS Caremark Corporation. The women will share their experiences as leaders and offer advice for spotting and removing barriers to women’s advancement, engaging male leaders in gender diversity and maximizing the bottom-line benefits of female leadership. The session will be moderated by NEW President and CEO Joan Toth.
