leaders and senior industry executives will offer their expertise and insights
during 11 learning sessions designed for emerging leaders, mid-level managers
and executives at the Network of Executive Women's NEW Leadership Summit, Oct.
21- 23, 2013. More than 900 executives and emerging leaders
from the retail and consumer goods industry are expected to attend the
three-day Summit at the Westin Bonaventure in downtown Los Angeles.

"Building Authentic Leadership for Gender Inclusion" with Cook Ross
Inc.'s Chair and Chief Consulting Officer Leslie Traub and Principal Consultant
Rosalyn Taylor O'Neale; and "Leading During Challenging Times," a
panel discussion moderated by Marian Cacciatore, vice president, global HR for
Learning sessions for executives include "Social Media for Senior
Leaders" with Holly Pavlika, senior vice president of strategy for
Collective Bias, and "Gender in the Workplace" with Summit
keynote speaker Anne-Marie Slaughter, the foreign policy expert who launched
a global debate with her article in The Atlantic magazine, "Why Women Still Can’t Have It All."
Other executive-level sessions include "A Conversation with Vice
Admiral Robin Braun, USNR," moderated by Michelynn Woodard, vice president, philanthropy for J.C. Penney Co., and "Innovation" with Jackie Freiberg, PhD.
Summit attendees also may choose to attend concurrent
sessions on hot topics, including "The New World
Marketplace" with Farnaz Wallace, former chief marketing officer for
Church's Chicken, and "Women Supporting Women" with Debra
Langford, CEO and Principal, The Langford Company
The Summit offers three keynote addresses.
Slaughter will answer the question, "Can Women Have It All?" and Brian
Cornell, chief executive officer of PepsiCo Americas Foods, will offer his
insights on the strategic importance of women’s leadership. Closing keynote
speaker Jennifer Siebel Newsom, women’s advocate and
director of the groundbreaking documentary "Miss Representation,"
will offer her perspective on "Redefining Leadership."
The Summit also includes a bonus NEW Leadership
Academy session and special networking events, including
the NEW Celebrating Excellence awards gala and banquet, the annual Summit
Luncheon, plus breakfast and refreshment breaks.
