More than 100 Network of Executive Women members learned how to ignite change at the NEW North Central Texas spring event, April 24, 2014 at Zale Corporation headquarters in Irving, Texas.

Theo Killion, CEO of Zale Corporation, opened the learning event by sharing how female mentors supported his career and saluting the retailer’s women leaders.

Keynote speaker Patti Johnson, CEO of PeopleResults, offered strategies for making meaningful transformations. To create change, the career expert said, people must ask themselves three questions: "What can I do?,” "What if?” and "How can I help?”

Attendees received advance copies of Johnson’s book Make Waves: Be the One to Start Change at Work and in Life. The event also featured a pop-up Zales jewelry store.

NEW members said the event gave them a greater sense of professional community. "As a first-timer, I was welcomed right away,” added Michele Yeeles, Frito-Lay North America category manager at PepsiCo Inc. "It was a great learning experience.”

Along with Zale Corporation, 7-Eleven Inc., CROSSMARK and Front Porch Marketing sent large contingents to the event.
