Hershey’s Michele Buck honored as NEW Champion

Michele G. Buck, president, North America for The Hershey Company, has been named a Network of Executive Women Champion. NEW Champions are a select group of high-level leaders who advance the Network’s mission inside their companies and throughout the retail/consumer goods industry.

"Michele’s approach to business, employee development and opportunity demonstrate her commitment to diversity and inclusion,” said Joan Toth, NEW president and CEO. "She leads by example and her success proves the value of gender diversity in the industry’s executive ranks.

Buck is responsible for leading the firm’s U.S. and Canadian businesses, delivering more than $6 billion of revenue and approximately 90 percent of the company’s business. Previously she served as senior vice president, global chief growth officer. Prior to joining Hershey in 2005, Buck was an officer at Kraft Foods. During her 17-year tenure at Kraft/Nabisco, she held numerous senior positions, including senior vice president and general manager for Kraft Foods Confections.

Buck sits on the board of directors at NY Life, a Fortune 100 financial services company. She will be a featured panelist at the NEW Executive Leaders Forum 2014, July 29-31 in Los Angeles.
