The Network of Executive Women has appointed Carol Jones,
former finance director for IRI, to the new post of vice president, finance and
administration. Jones will manage the Network’s finance and accounting efforts,
serve as chief liaison with the organization’s accounting firms and oversee general
operations from the Network’s Chicago headquarters.
The appointment is part of the Network’s strategic
infrastructure expansion and is the organization’s fifth new hire this year.
"Carol’s expertise and leadership will allow us to focus more sharply
on internal priorities, including governance, compliance and operations, as we
continue to grow the Network and expand our reach in the retail and consumer
products industry,” said NEW President and CEO Joan Toth.
At IRI, Jones managed a $36 million revenue budget for the
North America Retail Client Service, Consulting and Shopper Analytics
organization and oversaw a $72 million data acquisition expense budget.
She previously held leadership roles at United Airlines,
where she developed and managed a $45 million operating budget and $10 million capital
budget for the company’s purchasing organization. Previously, she analyzed
financial results for retail, petroleum, street retail, recreation,
transportation and education sites for McDonald’s Corp.
