Members leave 'comfort zone' in Cincinnati

and ESPN broadcaster Julie Foudy at the NEW Cincinnati learning event, Oct. 30,
Foudy shared inspiring personal experiences and stories of perseverance with
more than 630 NEW members and supporters at the event, held at the Horseshoe
Casino in Cincinnati.
"The magic happens outside of your comfort zone," Foudy said, urging
professionals to "sing 'Summer Lovin’' opera-style, or do anything that scares you to
get out of your comfort zone."
True champions, "are not crazy, we are courageous," she said.
Leadership, she added, is personal, not positional. "What is your style?
Be you. Know your authentic self."
Success is not a matter of chance, but of choice, Foudy said. "Same
goes for leadership! Choose your own path."
Teamwork and motivation are essential keys to effective leadership, she noted. "Attitudes
are contagious. Is yours worth catching?"
During the event, the NEW Cincinnati regional committee thanked
outgoing officers Lisa Holsclaw of The Kroger Co. and Tiffany
Menyhart of Wm.
Wrigley Jr. Company; celebrated the region's "Best of
the Best" honoree Nicole Rasmussen, who received the NEW Regional Leader
of the Year award at this year's NEW Leadership Summit; and welcomed incoming
NEW Cincinnati Co-Chair Jill McIntosh of The Kroger Co.
Organizations sending large delegations to the
event included Accenture, Advantage Sales & Marketing, Campbell Soup Co.,
The Coca-Cola Company, dunnhumby USA, The J.M. Smucker Company, Johnson &
