Regional leaders gathered at the first NEW Regional Officer Leadership Forum,
August 19-20, 2015 at Procter & Gamble headquarters in Cincinnati.
Forty-nine Network of Executive Women regional leaders shared best
practices for advancing women's leadership at the first-ever NEW Regional
Officer Leadership Forum, August 19-20, 2015 in Cincinnati.
The NEW leaders focused on key issues facing the Network's 20 regions
as they support the Network's mission by producing learning events, hosting
mixers, facilitating mentoring, enrolling local sponsors, using social media,
reaching out to college students and recruiting new members. Among the issues
that addressed: sponsorship and funding, recruiting volunteers and regional
exposure of the Network through social media and public relations.
The NEW leaders will share their action plans at a regional leaders workshop
during the NEW Leadership Summit 2015, Sept. 30-October 2
The NEW Regional Officer Leadership Forum was sponsored by Deloitte,
Kroger Co. and Procter & Gamble, who hosted the event.
Run entirely by volunteers, the Network's regional groups hold more than 100 learning events and mixers each year. One in 10 NEW members — more than 900 in total — serve as a regional leader or volunteer, building their leadership skills and creating lasting relationships.
