The Network of Executive Women’s North Central Texas Region is marking its 10th anniversary with a new name: NEW North Texas.

"We are excited by this milestone and the new North Texas name, which better reflects the growing reach of this region," said Stephanie McFee, NEW vice president of member and regional services. "We thank the 43 volunteer leaders and nearly 500 members in NEW North Texas for advancing the Network's mission to advance women, grow business and transform our industry’s workplace through the power of the of our community."

NEW North Texas, centered in the Dallas region, and NEW South Texas, based in and around Houston, will continue to expand their market reach as the Network works toward its goal of 25,000 members by 2020, McFee said.

NEW North Texas was founded in 2005 as NEW Dallas and has held events throughout the northern part of the state. In 2008, NEW North Texas Co-Chair Barb Daugherty of Frito-Lay was honored with the Bobbie O'Hare Award as the Network's Regional Leader of the Year. The following year, the region was recognized as the NEW Region of the Year. In 2013, NEW North Texas received the NEW Achievement Award for fundraising and sponsorship excellence.
