Renowned leadership expert Tara Mohr, author of Playing Big: Practical Wisdom for Women Who Want to Speak Up, Create and Lead, will share strategies for overcoming self-doubt to realize personal and career goals as the opening keynote speaker at NEW Executive Leaders Forum 2016. More than 300 senior-level executives in the retail and consumer goods industry are expected to attend the by-invitation event, July 26-28 at Terranea Resort outside Los Angeles.
Mohr, creator of the Playing Big leadership program for women, helps women share their voices and bring forward their ideas in work and in life. "The costs of women's self-doubt are enormous,” Mohr says. "Think of all the ideas unshared, businesses not started, important questions not raised, talents unused.
"You can learn to overcome self-doubt, access your unfailing inner wisdom, quiet your fears, unhook from praise and criticism and start playing much, much bigger — according to what playing bigger means to you."
Mohr is a Coaches Training Institute-certified coach with an MBA from Stanford University and an undergraduate degree in English literature from Yale. Her work has been featured on national media, including New York Times, Today Show, Oprah.com, Harvard Business Review and others.
