NEW Gen Committee pushes for inclusion goal

Tarjan shared an inclusion update at NEW Leadership Summit 2016.
The Network of Executive Women has
formed the NEW Gen Committee, its most recent diversity and inclusion effort,
this one aimed at increasing the representation of Millennials in its
NEW's Director of Corporate Partnerships Reagan Lund and Learning
Manager Eileen Tarjan introduced NEW Generation Committee members at the NEW
Leadership Summit 2016. They are: Ariel Fortune Dalton of Danone, Ashley
Martina of PEP, Briana Lee of KraftHeinz, Courtney Heger of Nestlé Purina
Petcare, Julie Niehaus of Procter & Gamble, Kari Sims of Crossmark, Krista
Specht of Hannaford, Mary Rivard of Walmart, Natalie Malone of Wrigley, Paige
Rotondo of PepsiCo, Paulina Lee of Procter & Gamble and Stacy Schmitz of
Lund shared the committee's value as
a platform for NEW Gen members, urging early career leaders under the age of 30
"to share their voice and talents to continuously improve NEW as a
best-in-class diversity and inclusion partner to our community."
There is already work to
do, Tarjan said, noting "the committee is 100 percent NEW Gen leaders by
design and over 30 percent are multicultural, but we did not have a single male
nominated or apply."
