Network workshops will drill down on D&I in Dallas

Six breakout sessions have been announced for the Network of Executive Women’s third annual Multicultural Workforce Conference, March 16–18 in Dallas.

The sessions will "explore what it takes to create cultures of inclusion, advance women and women of color to the C-suite, and embed diversity and inclusion throughout an organization,” the Network announced.

The breakouts are part of a robust agenda that will also feature keynotes by Cole Brown, chief diversity officer of Walmart, Andrés Tapia, chief diversity officer of Hewitt Associates, and Andre Hughes, global managing director of Accenture’s Cisco Business Group.

A leadership roundtable – "The View from the C-Suite: Leveraging D&I to Win in the Marketplace” – will feature Cathy Green, chief operating officer of Food Lion; Don Knauss, chief executive officer of The Clorox Company; Michael Schlotman, chief financial officer of the Kroger Company; and James White, chief executive officer of Jamba Juice Company. "Advancing Women of Color: Creating the Leadership It Takes to Win,” an advanced workshop discussion with Pamela Carlton, president of Springboard Leadership Consulting; Teresa Chipps, vice president of SuperValu; Ann Mukherjee, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Frito-Lay North America (morning session only); Cheryl Pearson-McNeil, senior vice president of the Nielsen Company; and Marilyn Thompson, director of diversity, consumer, for Johnson & Johnson,

"Down the Line: Integrating D&I Throughout Your Company Structure,” an advanced workshop with Jeff Halter, director of business development for the Coca-Cola Company; and Maritza Montiel, managing partner, Deloitte University, leadership development and succession.

"Embedding Diversity and Inclusion into Your Organization’s Culture,” an intermediate workshop led by Phyllis Jefferson, vice president of learning and organizational development at InclusionINC; and Margaret Young, key designer for the Mill Square Group.

"Generations at Work: Building Teams that Connect with Consumers,” a beginner workshop with Lisbeth McNabb, CEO of w2wlink.com; and Michael Redding, global director of technology at Accenture Technology Labs.

"Beyond Borders: Becoming A Global Leader,” an advanced workshop led by Jane Hyun, president of Hyun & Associates; and Lynn Sontag, president and chief mentoring officer for the Menttium Corporation.

"Metrics Matter: Measuring and Leveraging Diversity and Inclusion,” an intermediate workshop with Katie Edwards, diversity business partner at Target Corporation; and Tariq Malik, diversity consultant for Target.
