Florida region explores the power of dreams in Tampa
Monday, May 10, 2010
More than 280 Network members and supporters attended the Florida region’s networking luncheon April 23 in Tampa to network with each other and learn from author and "dream manager expert” Matthew Kelly. Representatives of dozens of consumer products and retail companies attended the event, including executives from Catalina Marketing, CVS Caremark, Deloitte, Dollar General, the Kellogg Company, Kraft Foods, Nestlé Purina PetCare, Pepsi Beverage Company, Procter & Gamble, Publix, Sara Lee and Sweetbay. A contingent from the University of Tampa also attended. Kelly explained "the powerful connection between employees’ personal dreams and a corporation’s ability to achieve goals and sustain growth.” He explored the characteristics of healthy and unhealthy organizations and said that a company cannot expect to attract and retain the employees it needs without harnessing their personal dreams and ambitions. Kelly led an optional workshop following his luncheon remarks.
