The Network of Executive
Women will present ways for industry executives and their organizations to
leverage today’s new business landscape at the NEW Leadership Summit 2010,
September 27-29 in Charlotte.
More than 700 executives are expected to attend
the Summit, which will feature a new format with three SuperSessions and
keynote addresses by Lt. Col. Consuela Kickbusch, U.S. Army retired, futurist
and author Edie Weiner and a "generations at work” panel moderated by Fawn
Germer.
Three SuperSessions will
focus on change issues affecting the industry. Sessions will be led by Kevin
Coupe, industry journalist and co-author of The
Big Picture: Essential Business Lessons from the Movies, business strategist Bill
Fournet, and DeLores Pressley, business coach and consultant.
Early-bird registration
for the Summit is now open. Network members who register for the Summit will
save $100 and enjoy special room rates at the Westin Charlotte, the event’s
headquarters hotel. For more information visit the Summit web page.
"The Summit is designed
to prepare us for the next decade and the changes to come,” according to NEW
Education Chair Debbie Wildrick, senior vice president of marketing at Equa
Water Corporation. "Because of the economy, the consumer has changed and
evolved. At the same time there are major changes in technology, demographics
and the workforce,” she said. "The time for hanging back is over – it’s time to
step out there and press the restart button.”
The Summit begins Monday,
September 27, with registration, pre-Summit meetings and an opening reception.
Tuesday kicks off with a networking breakfast and includes all keynotes and
SuperSessions and a special Summit luncheon. Those wishing to extend their
Summit experience can sign up for two optional programs on Wednesday – the Network’s
popular Retail Safari® store tours and Deep Dive Career Self-Management Workshop. This year's Retail Safari is scheduled to visit five area stores, each representing a distinct retail approach: Bloom grocery store, Family Dollar, IKEA, Trader Joe's and a newly redesigned Walmart SuperCenter.
