P&G becomes latest Foundation sponsor
Thursday, August 4, 2011
& Gamble has committed $100,000 to the Network of Executive Women, becoming
the Network’s fifth Foundation sponsor and renewing its support of the
organization’s mission to attract, retain and advance women in the retail and
consumer products industry through education, leadership and business
development. P&G has been a NEW sponsor since 2001.
Foundation sponsor, Procter & Gamble will help support the Network's
activities, participate in national and regional events and be able to leverage
the Network's career development and diversity and inclusion best practices
At P&G, "diversity and inclusion is part of our DNA,”
the company said in a statement. "P&G brings together individuals from
different backgrounds, cultures, and working and thinking styles, providing
remarkably different talents, perspectives, and life and career experiences,
with respect for each individual. Our experience is that more diverse
organizations are more innovative. Innovation doesn’t happen in a straight
line. Diversity provides nodes to connect seemingly unconnected ideas.
"Our employees are reflective of the diverse consumers and
markets we serve, representing more than 145 nationalities worldwide. To ensure
we continue to infuse a diverse talent pool, we deliberately recruit, develop,
and promote individuals of diverse backgrounds and provide an inclusive culture
for them to flourish, so that everyone is valued, everyone is included and
everyone is performing at their peak."
& Gamble will be one of 11 individuals and companies to be inducted into
the inaugural Network of Executive Women Diversity Hall of Fame this September
during the NEW Leadership Summit in Orlando.
