PepsiCo taps into NEW to strengthen women’s group

More than 60 Chicago-based members of PepsiCo’s Women Inclusion Network heard from Network veterans Aug. 25, 2011 at the company’s Midwest offices.

NEW Chicago Co-Chair Diane Bojic, director of business development for Catalina Marketing Corp., Beth Legate, chair of the NEW Chicago fundraising committee and senior account executive for Image Base , and NEW President and CEO Joan Toth shared ideas on using the Network’s tools and events to grow personal and professional networks and to advance careers. PepsiCo’s Van Sapp, senior vice president of sales, and Carole Anderson, senior manager, Gatorade demand planning and chair of WIN, joined the trio.

PepsiCo Chicago plans to grow the area’s WIN network and its NEW Chicago membership to 150 women. The event was recorded for PepsiCo employees unable to attend in person.

"The feedback from the audience was completely positive,” said Anderson, who organized the 90-minute workshop. "There is no question that we will have significant engagement from these women. We look forward to working with NEW as we begin this journey and refine the supporting processes to keep refreshing the Network in PepsiCo Chicago.”
