The Home Depot is the Network of Executive Women’s newest gold sponsor, supporting NEW’s mission to attract, retain and advance women in the retail and consumer products industry through education, leadership and business development.

As a gold sponsor, The Home Depot will help sustain the Network's activities, participate in national and regional events and have access to the Network's career development and diversity and inclusion best practices tools.

"We are thrilled to be a sponsor of the Network of Executive Women,” said Sabrina Green, Home Depot director, diversity and inclusion. "Home Depot has a strong commitment to developing female leaders and we believe The Network of Executive Women serves as an extension to our existing programs.”

The world’s largest home improvement retailer is ranked number 30 on the 2011 Fortune 500 U.S. list.

The company’s values reflect its commitment to its employees and workplace diversity. "The key to our success is treating people well,” the retailer notes on its website. "We do this by encouraging associates to speak up and take risks, by recognizing and rewarding good performance and by leading and developing people so they may grow.

"To remain successful, our associates must work in an environment of mutual respect, free of discrimination and harassment where each associate is regarded as a part of The Home Depot team.”

The company also is committed to working with diverse business partners. To reach out to the company is a national member of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council and the National Minority Suppliers Development Council. The retailer also sponsors and attends national and regional diverse supplier and small business trade shows. It also advertises in publications geared toward diverse business owners.

More than 70 of the cpg/retail industry's largest companies are national Network sponsors. Ninety-five percent of the Network's sponsors renew their commitment each year.
