Network of Executive Women member Julie Beck has been appointed executive vice president, sales and marketing for PromoWorks.

Beck, a NEW Chicago committee member, has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience, including roles at Kraft Foods, where she developed and led shopper marketing strategies for the consumer goods giant’s billion-dollar SUPERVALU business; Procter & Gamble; and Johnson & Johnson.

In the last year she helped lead the shopper marketing practice at global strategic management consulting firm The Partnering Group. Her work there included leading shopper marketing pilots for the Retail Commission on Shopper Marketing, sponsored by the Path to Purchase Institute.

"Julie is an outstanding addition to our executive leadership team. Her understanding of how to leverage shopper insights and build effective shopper-centric events that improve the in-store experience will help PromoWorks develop new capabilities for our clients,” said Dan Steever, CEO for PromoWorks. "Moreover, her leadership skills and years of success in driving measurable results for retailers and CPG companies will further strengthen our partnerships and position in the marketplace.”

Beck earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.
