Senior leaders to share diversity strategies at NEW Diversity Forum Super Sessions

Senior leaders from some
of the nation’s largest cpg/retail companies will offer their insights on
talent management, multicultural consumers and the benefits of working with
diverse suppliers during three educational Super Sessions at the Network of Executive
Women CPG Retail Diversity Forum, the industry’s largest diversity and
inclusion event.The CPG Retail Diversity
Forum will take place March 6-8, 2012, in Dallas.
Among those sharing
their experiences will be Sue Johnson, global head of gender balance and
diversity for Nestlé Group; Linda Singh, senior marketing director, fragrances
for Coty Inc.; Ernest Freeman, senior manager, supplier diversity for PepsiCo;
and Gleatha Glispie, director of supplier diversity for Walgreen Company.
Joining Johnson for the
"Workplace: Retaining Diverse Talent” Super Session will be Kenneth Charles,
vice president, diversity and inclusion for General Mills, and Katherine
Giscombe, vice president, diverse women and inclusion research for Catalyst
Inc. The three experts will share their best-in-class talent retention
strategies.
"Marketplace: Building
Bridges to Diverse Consumers” will feature Singh and Jackie Reynolds, CEO of
The ShopShop Inc. This Super Session will focus on using U.S. Census data to
identify and target consumers and ways to develop authentic relationships with
them.
Joining Freeman and
Glispie at the "Supplier Diversity: The Secret to Better Business” Super
Session will be Bridgette Porter, senior human resource manager, diversity for
Procter & Gamble, who will serve as panel moderator; Dr. Melvin
Gravely, author and founder of The Institute of Entrepreneurial Thinking; and
Kathryn Mazon, senior business development lead, supplier diversity, for Target
Corporation.
The NEW Diversity Forum
2012 will open with a Dinner Dialogue featuring Tom Greco, president of
Frito-Lay North America; Grant LaMontagne, senior vice president, chief
customer officer for The Clorox Company; Sue Dodsworth, chief diversity officer
for Kimberly-Clark Corporation; and Debra Sandler, chief consumer officer for
Mars Chocolate NA. The industry leaders will offer their thoughts on diversity
and the role it plays in their business strategies.
The program also includes special remarks from
Sharon Orlopp, global chief diversity officer for Walmart Stores Inc.; Anthony
Carter, global chief diversity officer for Johnson & Johnson; andCheryl Pearson-McNeil, senior vice president, public
affairs and government relations for The Nielsen Company.
Other headliners include Linda Clement-Holmes,
chief diversity officer and senior vice president, global business services for
Procter & Gamble, who will share her experience in driving innovation
through diversity and inclusion, andLynn Fantom, chairman and CEO, ID
Media, who will address the use of digital media to reach multicultural
consumers.
During the Diversity Forum Fireside Chat,
a panel experts, including Maria Campbell, director of diversity
for SC Johnson; Diane Cooke, vice president, human resources for Schwan's
Consumer Brands; and Armando Martín, president, CEO and co-founder of XL
Edge/XL Alliance,will address the connection between building
strong cultural competencies in the workplace with business advantages in the
marketplace.
