Julie Washington promoted to chief brand officer at Jamba Juice

Julie S. Washington, formerly senior vice president and general manager of Jamba Juice Company, has taken on the new position of senior vice president and chief brand officer. The move is designed to accelerate Jamba’s brand marketing, global consumer products and product innovation growth platforms, the company said.

Washington has extensive experience in brand development, strategy, retail and shopper marketing, and marketing operations. In her new role, she will continue to guide Jamba’s Global Consumer Products Platform, including the recently acquired Talbott Teas.

"We are focused making Jamba top-of- mind with consumers by sharpening and simplifying our marketing programs to better clarify value and relevancy of the Jamba brand,” said Chairman, President and CEO James D. White. "We look to utilize Julie’s unique background in consumer products, brand building, field marketing and franchise partnerships to lead the Jamba team in those areas. We are very excited about this alignment, which will allow us to optimize the performance across the entire team and accelerate growth for 2012 and beyond.”

Washington joined Jamba Juice Company as vice president and general manager, consumer products in 2010. Previously she served as vice president of marketing at Luxottica Retail. From 2005 to 2007, Washington was North America director of shopper marketing at Proctor & Gamble.
