Sarah Swanson has joined the Network of Executive Women in the new role of business development specialist. Swanson will play a key role in expanding the Network’s support of its 73 sponsors and more than 4,000 corporate members.

Swanson, who previously worked as an executive assistant for Accenture, will report to Nancy Krawczyk, the Network's vice president of sales and marketing, and will be part of the Network’s new sales and marketing team. The team also includes Rob Wray, the Network's communications director, who is responsible for the Network’s marketing, public relations, social media and Internet activities.

"Sarah is a valuable addition to the Network’s staff. Her experience in the cpg/retail industry and understanding of the value of leadership diversity will ensure new and existing sponsors maximize the educational, networking and other benefits of NEW sponsorship,” Krawczyk said. "Sarah’s skills and dedication compliment Rob’s unique skills and talents, which have helped brand the Network and continue to push our message across the industry and educate cpg/retail leaders about the value of gender diversity and inclusion.

"By investing in NEW, our sponsors are investing in their own human capital. The Network is committed to inspiring and supporting sponsor diversity and inclusion initiatives that will realize real business benefits.”

At Accenture, Swanson arranged onsite and offsite conferences, coordinated travel arrangements, prepared client reports and provided other support services for company executives. She previously served as an executive assistant at Northwest Comprehensive Inc. and as administrative assistant at Robert Half International Inc. and Houghton Academy.

Swanson earned a bachelor of science degree in recreation with a concentration in leadership from Greenville College in 2004. She is an active volunteer for Chicago Cares and the Back on My Feet organization.
