Wednesday, May 30, 2012
Seventy-five Network of Executive Women members learned how
to grow their professional persona at the NEW Mid-Atlantic spring networking
event, May 2, 2012 at the Hilton Garden in Greenbelt, Md.
Executive presence is not some innate quality; it’s a
combination of attitude and learned
behaviors that enable a person to command attention, according to Lynette
Lewis, author of Climbing the Ladder in
Stilettos. Lewis offered practical tools for developing a professional
persona and led a bonus workshop on identifying and leveraging unique traits
and networking during even casual interactions.
Among the organizations sending delegations to the NEW
Mid-Atlantic networking event were Acosta, Advantage Sales & Marketing,
Catalina, Melitta, PepsiCo, Publix, Sara Lee, Sweetbay Supermarket, University
of Florida and University of Tampa.
