Olu Fajemirokun, a featured speaker at the NEW Multicultural Conference, has joined the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies as vice president, global shopper.

Fajemirokun started her career 20 years ago at Mars Confectionery Slough, the United Kingdom snack division of Mars Inc. During her two decades at Mars, she developed strong multi-function and multi-category experience through increasingly responsible roles in finance, supply chain and sales. These positions included capital investment manager for the Western Europe Snack Division, strategic and financial planning director for the Ice Cream Division in France and financial controller for two manufacturing facilities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

In her role as international business manager, she managed the expansion of Mars Inc. confectionery brands into emerging markets in the Americas and Asia. She also served as vice president for customer development at Mars' $4 billion U.S. Snack Division, where she was responsible for translating business plans into sales execution. Prior to this position Fajemirokun was vice president for customer care for all of the company's U.S. divisions (snack, pet and food). She also served as chief financial officer for Mars' Uncle Ben’s Division, helping turn the business around and provide a long-term growth model.

At the 2009 NEW Multicultural Conference, Fajemirokun gave a personal perspective on diversity and inclusion and explained how the risk management model of diversity has given way to a business opportunity approach.
