Speaking to attendees of the spring New York Metro networking event, TV personality Carolyn Kepcher, formerly of NBC's "The Apprentice,” offered insights on balancing a full career and personal life.

The June 9 event, held at the Liberty House Restaurant in Jersey City, N.J., drew 275 attendees, who heard advice for advancing their careers and juggling challenges that arise in the workplace. Kepcher is CEO of Carolyn & Co. Media, aimed at women who recently graduated college.

"This group loves to network and the networking game, assigned tables and front-loaded networking time really worked well,” said Nancy Krawczyk, the Network’s director of client services, who, along with NEW Executive Director Joan Toth, attended the event. "Carolyn was friendly, funny and had some great tips for us to deal with transitions!”

Members gave the event positive reviews. "I had a great time networking with fellow women in the retail and CPG industries in a beautiful restaurant setting, with a backdrop of the New York city skyline,” said attendee Ashley Miller, retail operations manager consulting, Accenture. "I can't wait for the next event!”

NEW officers attending the event included board members Margarita Rossi, global director at Johnson & Johnson; Gail Jordan, vice president of diversity and inclusion for Stop & Shop; and Maria Edelson, vice president of customer business development at Evenflo and the Network’s chair of regional activities.
