Director, Communications & Engagement
Rob Wray is responsible for the NEW brand and leads the Network’s wide-ranging communications and engagement efforts, including in- and outbound marketing, event promotion, conference support, social media and websites, and advertising and public relations. Rob joined NEW in 2004 after a long career in corporate marketing, and was named the Network’s Communications Director in 2007. Raised by a working mom in Northern California, he studied at Humboldt State University and the University of Maryland European College, and served six years in the United States Army, including tours in Okinawa and Germany. Prior to joining NEW, Rob was a copywriter and marketing director, working at Convenience Store News, Pensions & Investments, TelevisionWeek, PC Week and other media companies. He lives in the Atwater Village section of Los Angeles and does volunteer work in his community.
