What are the benefits?
Being a member of NEW connects you to a network of more than 12,000 members who can support your personal and professional advancement. NEW members represent more than 850 companies and 115 corporate partners that support leader development and workplace transformation to achieve gender equality. NEW offers a menu of learning and leadership development opportunities for leaders at all levels, so you can address your specific needs.
Who joins NEW?
NEW members represent current and future leaders united by their passion for gender equality. NEW members are women and men in the retail, consumer goods, financial services and technology. These leaders don’t just stand out, they stand up. They reach higher, work harder, listen closer and, yes, speak louder about the need for gender equality. They are active in NEW, role models in their organizations and leaders in their communities. They help others and we help them, by building their personal brand, growing their professional networks and increasing their leadership skills with a menu of learning and networking opportunities.
What membership options do I have?
There are two types of memberships: NEW Corporate Partner memberships and individual memberships for those not employed by NEW corporate partners.
NEW Corporate Partners receive complimentary memberships based on their level of support. Once a NEW Corporate Partner uses their membership allocation, their NEW Ambassador can offer any employee a NEW membership at a corporate member rate of $99.
An individual NEW membership costs $200 for 12 months. All NEW members receive the same member benefits regardless of membership type, fee or region.
How do I join NEW?

What do NEW regions do?
NEW Region groups bring our mission to life in 21 regions across the U.S. and Canada. Run entirely by volunteers, our regions advance our mission through programs and events that foster learning, networking and mentoring, recruit NEW members, and attract college students to our industry.
What are NEW regional events?
NEW members attend regional events to connect, learn and grow. NEW regions host nearly 150 learning events and outreach events each year. Learning events typically combine networking activities and a learning component, such as a keynote speaker, executive panel or leadership workshop. Each region hosts learning events in spring and/or fall. Networking “mixers” typically occur after work and are shorter connects that occur every few months. Both events provide members with opportunities to connect with others, expand their network and learn more about the support needed to advance women.
How much do NEW regional events cost?
Event costs range from $20-$100, depending on programming and venue. While most regional events are open to nonmembers, there is a discount for NEW members.
The best way to experience NEW is to attend a regional event — check our Calendar to find an upcoming event near you.
How can I get involved in my NEW region?
NEW members are eligible to serve in leadership and volunteer roles in our 21 regional groups, building new skills and making lasting connections. Regional committee roles typically require a few hours a month in such areas as PR, social media, fundraising, program logistics and development, marketing and college outreach, to name a few. Regional officer roles are more time intensive and are earned after regional committee service. Volunteering at NEW can change the industry — and your career.
