Barbara Grondin Francella has joined the Network of Executive Women as manager of communications and engagement. Francella, who has worked with NEW for five years as communications manager and consultant, reports to Communications & Engagement Director Rob Wray.
Francella will write and produce the Network's twice-monthly newsletter, NEW Times; oversee the weekly NEW SmartBrief; work with the Network's community of two dozen bloggers; and edit and manage the Network's annual report, best practices reports, webinar series' presentations and other research and learning materials. She will be responsible for the NEW Executive Leaders Forum and NEW Leadership Summit microsites and mobile apps, and collaborate with Wray on social media, trade media engagement and other marketing and promotion initiatives.

Francella has more than 30 years of experience covering the retail, consumer goods and services and petroleum marketing industries. She served as executive editor of Convenience Store News and has been a contributor to Adweek, Beverage World, Hispanic 360 and other business publications. She recently served as communications consultant to the New Rochelle (N.Y.) Business Improvement District, New Rochelle Public Library Foundation and NeighborDeals.com.
