NEW Idaho — the Network of Executive Women’s 21st region — will officially launch September 19 with a learning event focused on “Powerful Resiliency Strategies for Women,” 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Zions Bank in Boise.
NEW members and non-members can still register for the event online until Tuesday. Walk-ins are welcome.
“We are thrilled to have NEW Idaho on board,” said Stephanie McFee, NEW vice president of member and regional services. “Idaho is a vibrant, growing state, and Boise is a hub for the grocery industry. The response to NEW has been tremendous!”
NEW President and CEO Sarah Alter joined McFee in praising the enthusiasm and hard work of the region’s organizers, who have been holding mixers and organizing events for more than a year. “NEW Idaho is in good hands with these amazing leaders,” she said.
NEW Idaho's officers are Co-Chair Programming Amanda Martinez of Albertsons Companies, Co-Chair Logistics Karen Hein of Procter & Gamble, Communications and Membership Lead Marissa Crab of Albertsons Companies and CFO Kim Stokes of Unilever.
Other NEW Idaho regional leaders include Lynn Schmidt of Micron Technology (event programming), Lois Collum of Mondelēz (event signage), Valerie Davis of WinCo (mentoring), Tanya Champion of Procter & Gamble (college outreach), Rick Swearingen of Mondelēz (succession planning), Jenn Schneider of General Mills (mixers and activities), Jamie Reedy of The Coca-Cola Company (event registration), Noah Fleisher of WinCo (internet and public relations), Amanda Visosky of I-WIL (membership), Gordana Sarich of GSK (member onboarding) and Jennifer Douglass of Acosta (fundraising and sponsorship.)
“NEW Idaho joins our network of 21 regions coast to coast,” McFee said. “These regions are run entirely by nearly 1,000 passionate volunteers who want to grow their leadership skills, build their business and networks, and work to bring gender equality to the retail and consumer goods industry.”
More than 90 percent of NEW’s 10,000 members are affiliated with a NEW region. Last year, NEW regions hosted nearly 150 learning events and informal mixers.
