Krista Specht, communications lead of NEW New England, is the grand prize winner of the NEW Member Community’s “Why I Love My Region” essay contest.
Specht, account manager at UNFI, was awarded an iWatch 3 for her essay, one of dozens posted in NEW’s online Member Community.
“For me, the New England region has provided me with a strong network to learn from, be empowered by and be a part of,” Specht’s essay read.
“Regardless of each individual's current status, everyone is open and willing to share, teach, connect and grow with one another,” she wrote. “Through NEW New England, I have not only made many professional and personal relationships, but also have found a mentor.”
NEW members who participated in the “Why I Love My Region” essay contest were entered in their region’s drawing for a $100 Visa gift card. The winners are:
