The Network of Executive Women has formed the NEW Gen Committee, its most recent diversity and inclusion effort, this one aimed at increasing the representation of Millennials in its membership ranks.
NEW's Director of Corporate Partnerships Reagan Lund and Learning Manager Eileen Tarjan introduced NEW Generation Committee members at the NEW Leadership Summit 2016. They are: Ariel Fortune Dalton of Danone, Ashley Martina of PEP, Briana Lee of KraftHeinz, Courtney Heger of Nestlé Purina Petcare, Julie Niehaus of Procter & Gamble, Kari Sims of Crossmark, Krista Specht of Hannaford, Mary Rivard of Walmart, Natalie Malone of Wrigley, Paige Rotondo of PepsiCo, Paulina Lee of Procter & Gamble and Stacy Schmitz of Accenture.
Lund shared the committee's value as a platform for NEW Gen members, urging early career leaders under the age of 30 "to share their voice and talents to continuously improve NEW as a best-in-class diversity and inclusion partner to our community."
There is already work to do, Tarjan said, noting "the committee is 100 percent NEW Gen leaders by design and over 30 percent are multicultural, but we did not have a single male nominated or apply."
