The Network of Executive Women’s board of directors announced the official launch of NEW Nashville, the organization’s 22nd regional group, at the NEW Leadership Summit in Chicago. NEW’s mission is to advance all women; the organization represents more than 12,000 members, 850 companies and 100 corporate partners in the U.S. and Canada.

“It’s been an absolute pleasure working with the dynamic leaders who have now officially launched the NEW Nashville region,” said Julie Basile, NEW vice president for regions, community and marketing. “Through their connections with supporting companies in the region — their perseverance, leadership and commitment to NEW’s mission to advance women — NEW Nashville is helping us move the needle on gender equality.”

NEW Nashville has nearly 450 active supporters from leading area companies, including Dollar General, Altria, Brookdale Senior Living, Colgate, Crossmark, Kimberly-Clark, KraftHeinz, Impact 21, Mars, Nestlé, Procter & Gamble and Valassis.

Basile offered a special thanks to the group’s regional leaders: Programming Co-Chairs Jessica Scaggs of Dollar General and Lucia Crater of Impact 21 Group, Logistics Chair Michelle Morgano of Procter & Gamble, Co-Secretaries Dana Felice of KraftHeinz and Morgan Millard of Mars Petcare and Co-Treasurers Allison Burg of Nestlé Purina PetCare and Heather O'Rourke of Procter & Gamble.

NEW Nashville’s next learning event will be held November 7, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Maggiano’s Little Italy, 3106 West End Ave, Nashville, TN 37203.
