The Network of Executive Women unveiled a revitalized approach to advancing women's leadership — including three leadership development programs for professionals at every career stage — during the first-ever NEW Smartcast, "Unlock Your Power and Influence through NEW Learning," June 16, 2015.
Before developing the programs, NEW talked to more than 1,500 Network members and industry leaders "to find out what kept them up at night and how we could better meet their needs," NEW vice president, marketing and corporate partnerships Nancy Krawczyk told online viewers.
The result was the Network's breakthrough Career Accelerator Model™, developed in partnership with the Center for Creative Leadership, which outlines eight critical success factors and five potential career derailers that apply to women in the retail, consumer goods and services industry.
The Model is the foundation of all of the Network's leadership development initiatives, including three new programs:
- Custom-built NEW Career Accelerator Workshops, which include individual 360-degree assessments on skills critical for success, an aggregate report for groups of 20 or more, an executive panel discussion and a Development Planning Guide.
- NEW Executive Institute, a leadership development experience for emerging women executives the includes off-site immersion sessions, including one at Ahold world headquarters in Amsterdam; a series of webinars; and executive coaching.
- NEW Rising Stars, a mid-level leadership program that reenergizes and expands mid-career professional's leadership capacity. This career catalyst includes a 360 skill assessment; an in-person session with leading business experts; interactive, competency-building webinars; and one-on-one coaching.
