Director, Communications & Engagement
Rob Wray is responsible for NEW's wide-ranging communications and engagement efforts, including content development, in- and outbound marketing, event promotion and support, social media, websites, and advertising and public relations. Rob joined NEW in 2004 after a long career in corporate marketing, and was named NEW Communications Director in 2007. Raised by a working mom in Northern California, he studied at Humboldt State University and the University of Maryland European College, and served six years in the United States Army, including overseas tours as an intelligence operator and infantry team leader. Prior to joining NEW, Rob was a reporter, editor and copywriter. He has been a website producer and marketing director for media companies on both coasts, including PC Week, Convenience Store News, Pensions & Investments and TelevisionWeek. He lives in the Atwater Village section of Los Angeles and does volunteer work in his community.
